How is it that the Wynia/Wynja-branch grows on the Nijdam family tree?

Romke Piers Wynia had three daughters : Lolk, Ymck en Wytske.
Lolk married Douwe Rijms.
Their children took their mother's maiden name as their family name. This branch is part of the Nydam tree, because her sisters Ymck and Wytske married a Nijdam.
The children of Ymck and Wytske also took their mother's maiden name as their family name.
The reason for that is probably that the Wynia family at that time had more prestige than the Nijdam family. The descendants of Ymck, about 60-70% of the Wynia/Wynja population, should be called Nijdam, in accordance with the male line.

A part of this group should even be called Gabes, as a daughter of Ymck Romkes Wynia and Foeke Sytzes Nijdam,--> Wypkjen Foekes Wynia ! (1723-1814), in 1752 married Jan Gabes.
Their children, too, chose Wynia as their family name.

Finally, to make matters even more complicated.
A daughter of Wytske Romkes Wynia and Wieger Sytzes Nijdam,--> Geiske Wiegers Nijdam, first married Ruurd Tjeerds de Haan.
After his death she married Sytze Foekes Wynia (a brother of Wypkjen).
The children of her first marriage took the family name of her second husband, Wynia. One of those children Akke Ruurds de Haan (Wynia) later married Sybren Foekes Wynia, a brother of her stepfather.

I hope that it is clear to all relatives where the Wynia/Wynja branch fits in the Nijdam family tree.
