NIJDAMSTRA Association General Info
The "Nijdamstra Stichting" is the family association of the families
NIJDAM, WYNIA/WIJNJA/WIENIA, VLEER and NIEUWDAM.
The association was founded already 45 years ago.
Met mijn nu 37 jarige Automatiseringservaring in de binnenzak, wilde ik (Geert van der Velde) als (pre-VUTter) Consultant Informatica mijn kennis tav. WWW gebruik verbreden.
Door mijn hobby (Genealogie) ontdekte ik de voordelen van Internet.
Om deze redenen zijn hier "Pages" gebouwd.
With 37 years of experience in Electronic Data Processing, now as (retired) Information Technology Consultant, I (Geert van der Velde) also wanted to upgrade my knowledge of the new world called "Cyberspace".
Using my hobby (Genealogy) I discovered the advantages of the Internet. This is the reason for creating these "Pages".
Door mijn verwantschap met de familie Nijdam,
(mijn grootmoeder is een Nijdam, geboren uit Nijdam & Nijdam !)
ben ik ook (bestuurs)lid van de Nijdamstra Stichting. Hierbinnen coordineer ik de "automatiserings zaken".
As I am related to the NYDAM family,
(my Grandmother is a Nijdam, born out of Nijdam & Nijdam !)
I also assist the Nydamstra Association by coordinating the IT- activities for the Family Foundation.
Naast de keuze voor een Nederlandse versie is er ook een Engelse versie van de
Nijdamstra Stichting pagina's beschikbaar.
Met deze (gepubliceerde) pagina's hopen wij (nieuwe) familieleden en
overige belangstellenden (in binnen en buitenland) voor onze stichting te interesseren.
Besides a Dutch version, there is also a separate English version of the Nydamstra pages (always under construction !!). With these (published) pages we hope to get connected with those who are interested in the family association.
